Dorothy Bassey, PMHNP-BC

Citadal Healthcare Services was founded by Dorothy Bassey, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Homewood, Illinois. After watching people she loved struggle quietly with their mental health, Dorothy saw how many were suffering without a safe place to feel heard. She built Citadal to change that, bringing four years of psychiatric experience to a practice built on personalized, evidence-based care.

Today, we provide mental health support for clients across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, from psychiatric evaluations and medication management to therapy approaches like CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, and couples and sex counseling. Whether you meet with us in our Homewood office or from the comfort of home by secure video, our commitment stays the same: to listen closely, treat you with respect, and help you thrive.
